MILTON M. MILLER AWARDCEHA's highest honor, presented to an outstanding Environmental Health Professional in a leadership position. Award History: Later he worked for Denver University where he established a school for sanitary science training. While there, he was involved with the Colorado Environmental Health Association (CEHA). At that time CEHA was called the Rocky Mountain Section of the National Association of Sanitarians. Mr. Miller was CEHA's fourth president in 1950. In 1954, he organized the first ever Annual Educational Conference. In the 50's, Mr. Miller was Editor of the Journal of Environmental health, at that time called the Sanitarian which was published by the National Association of Sanitarians now called NEHA. Mr. Miller also served on the NEHA Board of Directors. In 1957, NEHA recognized his long and distinguished career with the award of their highest honor, the Walter S. Mangold Award. A Nominee must:

A nominee must: • Be a CEHA member in good standing. • Have performed duties within the field of environmental health that go above and beyond typical job requirements and elevate the professional standing of the discipline, demonstrated through one or more of the following accomplishments (or similar achievements): – Implementation of a new program or the successful development and launch of a new Environmental Health division. – Execution of an initiative that produces measurable impact, such as a process improvement, operational innovation, or strategy that results in clear, data‑supported outcomes. – Substantial contribution to the development or modernization of regulations or legislation, such as drafting, revising, or leading efforts to update significantly outdated regulatory frameworks. | ENVIRONMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT and innovation AWARD - INDUSTRYPresented to an industry, company, or organization who has made a significant contribution to the field of environmental health.
