Hi CEHA Membership and prospective members,

The Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership (RIHEL), one of CEHA's longest standing partners, had quite a few learning opportunities coming up soon. Please see the information from them below and click on the link provided for more information. 


Spring is fast approaching, and Spring at RIHEL is synonymous with our annual Leadership Is for Everyone (LIFE) event! This 17thannual leadership education program continues this year with our co-hosts, the Colorado Environmental Health Association (CEHA), as a 3-day virtual interactive leadership development series:

 

April 16, 2021 | 9:00am – 12:30pm (MT)

Transcending the Unknown: Becoming more resilient in the face of challenges and changes, presented by Kari Knutson. This engaging and timely presentation focuses on the value and importance of shifting perspectives, cultivating courage, and harnessing the power of compassion, especially given the significant world changes since March of 2020. Take away practical and actionable ideas that you can start using immediately. 

 

April 23, 2021 | 9:00am – 12:30pm (MT)

Compassion Fatigue & Burnout Prevention, presented by Howard Baumgarten. Expand your awareness and understanding of compassion fatigue and burnout risks in the workplace, while learning how to manage symptoms, and prevent fatigue and burnout through applied cognitive, behavioral, and emotional interventions. Through exercises and breakout discussion, you will also take steps to develop your own written “Burnout Prevention/Burn-up Invention Plan.”

The accord Tool for Successful Negotiations, Influential Conversations (and Great Meetings), presented by Sara ‘Zora’ Boas. The same deep structure and process can be used to achieve influential conversations, successful negotiations, and great meetings. In this session, you will learn the six phases of the accord tool for transformation that leaders around the world use to engage people, take clear decisions together, gain real commitment, and generate powerful collaborative action.
