Silent Auction Call for Donations - Scholarship Fund
The silent auction is a fundraiser that helps CEHA provide scholarships and reduced tuition costs for members attending one-day workshops and the annual conference. We are ready to start soliciting donations for the silent auction and we need your help!
A tradition of the silent auction is for EH professionals from around the state to contribute various commodities from their region. Items in the auction historically include restaurant vouchers, brewery and distillery items, manufactured food items such as Celestial Seasonings tea, movie tickets, ski passes, resort lodging, etc.
We are asking for you to start thinking about items from your region that would be desirable auction items and then contact those businesses for donations. It is not too early to start asking around as businesses frequently exhaust these budgets early in the year. Early bird gets the worm! As a non-profit organization these businesses may be eligible for a tax deduction and we can provide them with a receipt following a donation
Linked below are two documents. One is a donation solicitation letter that has more details about the auction and may be provided to a potential donor. The other is a template letter that can be used to provide a receipt letter after the donation is received. Once you receive an item, please contact one of the following committee members to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of your donation:
